Which evidence makes the strongest case?
Five evidence types weighted highest by Trust Services: (1) timestamped unboxing video, (2) third-party inspection report (SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek), (3) packing list comparison, (4) photos with a dated newspaper or measuring tape, and (5) the original purchase order PDF. Evidence captured within 48 hours of delivery is weighted 1.6x higher than later-submitted evidence.
What does the resolution process look like?
Day 0: Buyer opens dispute, uploads evidence. Day 0-2: Supplier responds with counter-evidence. Day 3-4: Trust Services reviews both sides. Day 5: Decision issued — full refund, partial refund, replacement, or buyer claim denied. Either party can appeal within 7 days; appeals go to a senior arbitrator.
Frequently asked questions
- Can I open a dispute after 30 days?
- Yes, up to 90 days for product defects discovered during use, but the burden of proof is higher and resolution times longer (median 8 business days). After 90 days, AdeptLink no longer mediates — disputes proceed under the governing law in the supplier contract.
- Will opening a dispute affect my account standing?
- No, not on its own. Buyer accounts are flagged only when dispute rate exceeds 8% of orders over a rolling 90-day window — 99.6% of buyers stay below that threshold. Supplier accounts are flagged at 3% dispute rate.
- Is the AdeptLink Trust Services decision binding?
- Yes. Both parties agreed at signup that AdeptLink Trust Services decisions are binding under the AdeptLink Terms of Service. Either party may appeal once within 7 days; the appeal decision is final on the platform.
