Which payment methods are available?
Four methods: credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex — 2.9% fee), wire transfer (free, T+1 settlement), milestone-protected payment (1.5% fee, released only after delivery confirmation), and Trade Credit (Net-30/60/90, available after 3 completed orders).
Milestone-protected payment is the recommended default for first-time orders with a new supplier — each payment stage releases to the supplier only after you confirm receipt or 7 days after delivery, whichever comes first. AdeptLink coordinates the release trigger and never holds your funds.
What happens after I confirm the order?
Five things happen in sequence: (1) Supplier is notified and order status moves to AWAITPAYMENT. (2) You complete payment per chosen method. (3) Status moves to PAYMENTCONFIRMED. (4) Supplier moves through PROCESSING → READFORPICKUP → DISPATCHED → INTRANSIT → DELIVERED. (5) You confirm receipt and status moves to COMPLETED, releasing the final payment milestone.

- Can I cancel an order after placing it?
- Yes, before the supplier marks it PROCESSING. After PROCESSING, cancellation requires supplier consent and may incur restocking fees. Once DISPATCHED, you can no longer cancel — open a return after delivery instead.
- Where can I see all my orders?
- Visit /buyer/orders for the full list with status filters. Each row links to /buyer/orders/[id] which shows line items, payments, shipments, invoices, and the timeline.
- How do milestone-protected payments work?
- Payment is split into stages tied to delivery milestones. The supplier sees the order as committed and ships. A stage releases to the supplier 7 days after delivery is marked, or immediately when you confirm receipt — whichever comes first. AdeptLink coordinates the release; your own payment provider moves the money.
